Promoter Frank Warren has publicly backed unbeaten Cuban contender Jadier Herrera to defeat WBC lightweight champion William Zepeda. Following the World Boxing Council's order for the title defense, Warren declared on X that Herrera will become the new lightweight champion of the world.
