Ipswich Town midfielder Marcelino Nunez reportedly left Chile's camp after falling out with team-mates and his interim manager.
Ipswich Town midfielder Marcelino Nunez has reportedly left the Chile national team camp early following a heated fallout with teammates and interim manager Nicolas Cordova. The 26-year-old will return to England and miss Chile's upcoming friendly against Mexico.
According to reports from Chile, tensions arose after Nunez was an unused substitute in a 4-2 defeat to the United States, prompting Cordova to publicly demand more leadership. Nunez subsequently engaged in an argument that nearly came to blows with Lucas Cepeda before notifying national team general manager Felipe Correa of his departure.
