Cristiano Ronaldo left Portugal’s training camp after coach Jorge Jesus said the superstar would not start the team's next game. Here's what we know about the situation.

Cristiano Ronaldo abruptly left Portugal's national team training camp in Copenhagen on Wednesday, casting doubt over his international future. His decision followed Portugal coach Jorge Jesus's announcement that Ronaldo would not start against Denmark, coming shortly after Ronaldo was an unused substitute in a 2-1 win over Norway.
After warming up for 30 minutes without playing against Norway, Ronaldo posted on social media that he decided to leave camp following discussions with federation president Pedro Proenca. Despite officials attempting to convince him to stay at Copenhagen airport, Portugal played on without him, beating Denmark 4-2 behind a goal from Gonçalo Ramos.
