Former Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp has joined the Baller League rather than join an EFL club, and will return to Bramall Lane this weekend for a major charity event.

Former Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp has joined the six-a-side Baller League rather than signing with a new EFL club. The free agent has signed for N5 FC, a side managed by former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann, following his departure from Doncaster Rovers in the summer. Sharp is also set to make an appearance at Bramall Lane this weekend as a guest of honor for a charity dinner.
The sold-out Bramall Lane event is hosted with Blades manager Chris Wilder and his wife Francesca to support the Weston Park Cancer Charity scanner appeal. Fundraisers are aiming to purchase an MRI simulator, aided by an auction featuring items donated by golfer Matt Fitzpatrick, including Ryder Cup gear, signed memorabilia, and travel experiences.
