Bobby Zamora, West Ham legend? Fans give their verdict on ‘underrated’ icon

Hammers News assesses Bobby Zamora's legacy at West Ham United, concluding he is an underrated cult hero and icon rather than an outright club legend. Writer Dan Owen highlights Zamora's knack for decisive moments despite scoring only 18 Premier League goals across his spell at Upton Park.

Key memories cited include his winner against Preston North End in the 2005 play-off final and historic goals away at Arsenal. Hammers News writer Damien Lucas notes that Zamora was deeply appreciated by supporters, particularly as a boyhood fan playing during a memorable era alongside strikers like Carlos Tevez.
