Mesut Ozil constantly divided opinion during his time at Arsenal. The Germany international became the Gunners’ record signing in 2013, when he left Real Madrid…

Former Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has compared current Gunners attacker Christos Tzolis to former playmaker Mesut Ozil. Speaking on talkSPORT, Walcott argued that while Tzolis is talented, he struggles in difficult away fixtures much like Ozil did during his time in North London. Walcott suggested manager Mikel Arteta consider alternative tactical options for challenging road games rather than starting the Greek winger.
Tzolis joined Arsenal during the summer transfer window from Club Brugge and has registered four assists across six competitive starts. However, Arsenal Insider writer Shamanth Jayaram highlights that Tzolis has struggled in recent away matches against Aston Villa, Sunderland, and Brighton, with his only road goal contribution coming against Napoli in an assist for Martin Odegaard.
