The Miami Heat have made some major additions to their roster, but head coach Erik Spoelstra thinks Bam Adebayo deserves a lot of credit for helping the franchise attract those players.
Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra credited Bam Adebayo's league-wide reputation for helping the franchise sign Giannis Antetokounmpo, Klay Thompson, Bobby Portis, and Tim Hardaway Jr. Speaking on The Dan Le Batard Show, Spoelstra explained that while Heat culture remained a factor, players were equally drawn to Miami because of their deep respect for Adebayo's impact on winning.
Spoelstra compared Adebayo's recruiting influence to that of franchise icon Dwyane Wade. Adebayo, a three-time All-Star and six-time All-Defensive selection, averaged 20.1 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, providing two-way versatility that makes him an attractive teammate for arriving stars.
