Carlos Baleba made his first Manchester United appearance as Michael Carrick's side secured a 2-1 friendly victory over Lausanne-Sport at Carrington.

Carlos Baleba and Matthijs de Ligt both started as Manchester United secured a 2-1 victory over Lausanne-Sport in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Carrington. The match served as Baleba's first appearance for United since his £70 million summer transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion, having recently recovered from an ankle injury.
The friendly allowed manager Michael Carrick to build match fitness for squad members not away on international duty. De Ligt continued his recovery following May back surgery, while senior players Matheus Cunha and Harry Maguire, along with several academy talents, also featured in the contest.
