Speaking to Het Belang van Limburg ahead of Belgium's clash with Turkey, the Manchester United goalkeeper addressed stepping in after Courtois opted out of a central role in the Nations League, stating that he must focus on his performances and readying himself immediately.
Lammens has earned consecutive man-of-the-match awards against Italy and France under new manager Mark van Bommel. Van Bommel previously managed Lammens at Royal Antwerp before selecting him to start following his costly handling error in Belgium's 2026 World Cup quarter-final loss to Spain.
