The Texas Rangers are in a tough spot with Corey Seager, but he's nothing like the albatross that Trea Turner is on the Philadelphia Phillies' books.

Stephen Parello of Nolan Writin' argues that Texas Rangers fans should appreciate Corey Seager's situation despite a frustrating season, especially compared to Trea Turner's struggles with the Philadelphia Phillies. Turner went 1-for-11 in the NL Wild Card Series as Philadelphia was eliminated by the Atlanta Braves, capping a regular season where he hit just .245/.297/.378.
Parello contends that Turner is a more difficult asset, noting he has seven years and $190 million left alongside poor defensive metrics. Meanwhile, Seager has five years and $155 million remaining, offered stronger defense, and posted a .297/.364/.497 slash line during an extended stretch late in the season.
