The 2026 Arizona Fall League begins on Saturday, October 3, featuring Texas Rangers prospects playing for the Surprise Saguaros. Surprise opens its season against Scottsdale in the middle game of a tripleheader at 5:30 p.m. Central. Top prospect Sebastian Walcott, ranked eighth on MLB Pipeline's top 100 list, highlights the Rangers' contingent and stands as the league's highest-ranked participant this fall.
Walcott missed significant time in 2026 following February elbow surgery, recording just 187 plate appearances across 41 games, mostly at Double-A Frisco. Adam Morris suggests Walcott's defensive positioning during the fall season could indicate the Rangers' plans for him in 2027, noting potential future fits at third base or right field.
