Luis Arraez closed his first, and perhaps only, season with the Philadelphia Phillies the way a player often does when he already knows the door is swinging shut.
Following the Philadelphia Phillies' elimination from the postseason, Luis Arraez posted a social media message that Viral Sports News interprets as a hint at his departure ahead of free agency. Arraez thanked the fans and reflected on his time in Philadelphia after being sidelined during the National League Wild Card series due to an ankle injury.
Viral Sports News notes the post's past-tense phrasing suggests the trade-deadline acquisition may not return. Arraez arrived from the San Francisco Giants, batting .310 overall across the season, but missed the Phillies' 2-1 Wild Card series defeat to the Atlanta Braves.
