The half-back will play at Old Trafford for the first time this weekend…

Wakefield Trinity half-back Jake Trueman has expressed his desire to earn a spot in England's Rugby League World Cup squad this autumn, stating he is in the best form of his career. The 27-year-old playmaker has featured in all 32 games for Wakefield this season ahead of Saturday's Super League Grand Final against Warrington Wolves. National team head coach Brian McDermott is set to announce his final 23-man tournament squad on Monday.
Trueman was included in England's extended squad earlier this year but acknowledges stiff competition from fellow half-backs George Williams, Mikey Lewis, Harry Smith, and Jake Connor. The uncapped half-back previously toured with Great Britain in 2019 and credited a full pre-season for his fitness and career-best consistency this year.
