QPR swooped to sign the goalkeeper on a season-long loan in the summer transfer window from Manchester City.

Northern Ireland media praised QPR goalkeeper Pierce Charles following his performance in Northern Ireland's 3-0 Nations League victory over Ukraine on Friday night. NewsLetter journalist Patrick Van Dort hailed the 21-year-old shot-stopper for his superb passing and sharp saves, awarding him an 8/10 rating. Ciaron Brown scored twice and Isaac Price added a third to keep Michael O'Neill's side unbeaten and top of Group F.
Charles joined Queens Park Rangers on a season-long loan from Manchester City during the summer transfer window. After progressing through City's academy and making 36 appearances for Sheffield Wednesday, Charles was re-signed by City on a contract running until 2031 before his temporary switch to Loftus Road.
