Rangers legend Barry Ferguson expressed his desire to see Scotland midfielder Lewis Ferguson join the club alongside Nathan Patterson and Billy Gilmour. Writing in the Daily Record, Barry praised his nephew's maturity regarding comments about a future move to Ibrox, raising the possibility of all three Scottish players eventually returning to Glasgow.
The 27-year-old Bologna captain was heavily linked with a permanent transfer to Rangers over the summer. Writer Aheed Abrar notes that Lewis could serve as a future replacement for Nicolas Raskin, while Torino defender Patterson and Napoli midfielder Gilmour could also be long-term targets under manager Derek McInnes.
