Tottenham have received a boost in their pursuit of Jean-Philippe Mateta as he is now expected to leave Crystal Palace in 2027.
Tottenham Hotspur have received an encouragement in their pursuit of Jean-Philippe Mateta, as the 29-year-old Crystal Palace striker reportedly will not sign a new contract and will leave the club in 2027. Palace are resigned to losing the French forward and must decide whether to sell him in January on a permanent transfer or lose him as a free agent next summer.
Spurs are targeting attacking reinforcements due to Dominic Solanke's ongoing fitness struggles and the expected departure of Richarlison under manager Roberto De Zerbi. Pete O'Rourke reported that multiple clubs across the Premier League and Europe are monitoring Mateta, who previously came close to joining AC Milan.
