Former Atlanta Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier has again been relegated to a supporting role behind an elite back.

Writer Jason Kandel argues that Arizona Cardinals running back Tyler Allgeier has lost control of the backfield to rookie Jeremiyah Love. Although Allgeier initially out-snapped the rookie across the first two weeks after signing a two-year, $12.25 million deal, Love broke out in a Week 3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers with 21 carries, 90 rushing yards, and a receiving touchdown.
Kandel suggests the early committee split was merely Arizona managing Love's workload following a summer high-ankle sprain. With Love handling a 55-31 snap advantage in Week 3 while Allgeier was limited to just two carries, the writer contends Love has firmly established himself as the Cardinals' primary three-down back.
