The Vikings announced that they have elevated veteran P Johnny Hekker for Week 4. Hekker, 36, signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State in 2012.
The Minnesota Vikings have officially elevated veteran punter Johnny Hekker from the practice squad ahead of their Week 4 matchup. Hekker had originally joined the Vikings on a one-year contract for the 2026 season before being released following training camp and subsequently brought back to the practice squad.
The 36-year-old punter spent the 2025 campaign with the Tennessee Titans, where he appeared in all 17 games, recording 3,653 punt yards across 78 attempts while placing 22 punts inside the 20-yard line. Over his career, Hekker has also played for the Los Angeles Rams and Carolina Panthers.
