Dylan Smith was one of the few bullpen bright spots for the SF Giants in 2026 and his six-out save against Cleveland was truly impressive.

Around the Foghorn ranked Dylan Smith's six-out save against the Cleveland Guardians as the San Francisco Giants' fifth-best moment of 2026. On August 19, manager Tony Vitello brought in Smith to protect a 1-0 lead after solid outings from Matt Wilkinson and Adrian Houser. Smith worked around a leadoff walk to strike out the side in the eighth inning, including Cleveland star Jose Ramirez.
Smith returned for the ninth inning, allowing a single before striking out two batters, including pinch-hitter Patrick Bailey, to finish the six-out save. Nick San Miguel highlighted the outing as a rare bullpen bright spot during a 65-97 season where Smith posted a 3.86 ERA and converted four of nine save opportunities.
