The Houston Texans are turning to a former Dallas Cowboys starter in Kenneth Murray ahead of facing their in-state rivals.

The Houston Texans elevated linebacker Kenneth Murray ahead of their Week 4 matchup, according to a report from KPRC 2's Aaron Wilson. The 6-foot-2, 241-pound former first-round pick started 16 games for the Dallas Cowboys last season, recording 81 combined stops and one sack.
The roster move comes out of necessity as the 0-3 Texans face severe injury issues at linebacker. Intended starters Azeez Al-Shaair, E.J. Speed, and Henry To'oTo'o have all been ruled out for Week 4, forcing the team to turn to Jake Hansen and rookie Wade Woodaz.
