Josh Hart expressed that his uncertain contract situation with the New York Knicks adds "extra weight" heading into the regular season. While Hart stated a strong desire to stay with the franchise, he acknowledged that the lack of resolution impacts his off-court life as he prepares to focus primarily on playing.
According to SNY's Ian Begley, Hart, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Miles McBride appear unlikely to agree to contract extensions prior to the regular season. Begley also reported that a clear gap remains between the Knicks' contract offer and what Towns is seeking, leaving all three without imminent deals.
