2007 World Cup-winning Springbok coach Jake White is in contention to coach a team at next year’s global showpiece in Australia.

Former South Africa head coach Jake White has emerged as the leading contender to coach Fiji ahead of the 2027 World Cup in Australia. According to a report by Rapport, the 62-year-old 2007 World Cup winner is considered the favorite on Fiji's shortlist to take over the role permanently.
Fiji has been without a permanent coach since Mick Byrne stepped down in April, with Senirusi Seruvakula serving as interim coach. White, who previously served as the Bulls' director of rugby, currently works as a consultant at Selborne College.
