Anthony Gordon says Barcelona has changed how he is judged as he adapts to its technical and tactical demands while still seeking his first competitive goal.
Anthony Gordon has stated that his transfer to FC Barcelona has shifted how his footballing profile is perceived. In an interview with ITV Football, the 25-year-old winger explained that playing for the Spanish club means people now assume higher technical and tactical standards, rather than viewing him merely as a fast and hardworking player.
Manager Hansi Flick has publicly supported Gordon during his adjustment period, even as the England international awaits his first competitive goal for Barcelona. Gonzalo Mestre notes that Gordon's adaptation requires balancing his work rate and pressing with refined positional discipline alongside Barcelona's tactical demands.
