After a winding and mysterious offseason, Kyler Gordon has made his return to the Chicago Bears. But the cornerback still has some steps to take before suiting up on gameday.
Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson stated that cornerback Kyler Gordon will face a physical evaluation during his 21-day practice window. Gordon recently returned to the team after completing his offseason rehabilitation away from the franchise. While Gordon is back, he technically remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list and must miss at least one more game before he is eligible to play.
Johnson described the three-week window as a stress test to ensure Gordon avoids setbacks and can still perform at a high level. Gordon signed a contract extension in 2025 making him the NFL's highest-paid slot cornerback, but he must now reintegrate into the squad after missing offseason team activities.
