Daniel Babb reflects on his spell at Ipswich Town and what the future holds. Ross Halls spoke to the defender after his departure from Portman Road.
Former Ipswich Town defender Daniel Babb has reflected on his time at the club following his summer departure, praising the welcoming environment, his development under Under-21 manager John McGreal, and the guidance he received from first-team star Leif Davis. The 20-year-old right back made regular appearances for the youth side after joining from League of Ireland club UCD in February 2024.
After undergoing ankle reconstruction surgery in early 2026, Babb is now fully recovered, searching for his next club, and leading a new mental health project named #BeTheSpark to encourage open conversations.
