Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres made UEFA Nations League history by becoming the first player to score in six consecutive matches in the competition. The 28-year-old forward scored for Sweden in a 1-1 draw away to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday night. The strike marked his third goal in three Nations League matches this campaign, following previous goals against Romania and Poland.
Gyokeres' scoring sequence in the competition dates back to October 2024. Despite the draw, Sweden remained at the top of League B Group 4, two points ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The writer notes that Arsenal will hope Gyokeres transfers his prolific international scoring form back to club football upon his return to North London.
