David Raya had a difficult night for Spain despite a 3-1 win over Czechia, while Mikel Merino came off the bench to seal the result late on.

Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya endured an uncomfortable performance for Spain despite their 3-1 victory over Czechia on Saturday. Making only his 14th start for his national team, Raya committed multiple mistakes, including a poor clearance that nearly led to an empty-net equalizer and an unconvinced parry that resulted in a Czechia goal subsequently ruled out by VAR for a foul in the build-up.
Spain manager Luis de la Fuente saw his side secure the win late in the match when Arsenal teammate Mikel Merino scored in the 89th minute after coming on as a substitute. The victory leaves regular first-choice goalkeeper Unai Simon's starting position looking secure following Raya's uncharacteristically shaky display.
