Arsenal midfielder Mikel Merino scored the final goal as Spain defeated the Czech Republic 3-1 in a UEFA Nations League match in Oviedo on Saturday. The victory marked Spain's tenth consecutive win and maintained their perfect start in Group A3 with nine points from three games. Fellow Arsenal players David Raya and Martin Zubimendi also featured in the contest under manager Luis de la Fuente.
Spain established an early lead through Lamine Yamal and Rodri before Jiri Slama pulled a goal back for the visitors past Raya in the 69th minute. Czech Republic defender Ladislav Krejci was later sent off for a second yellow card, and Merino sealed the win by converting an 89th-minute loose ball.
