CRICKET | Saamy effusive in his praise for Hope’s leadership qualities

West Indies coach Daren Sammy praised captain Shai Hope's leadership following their victory against India in the final ODI in Mullanpur on Saturday. After keeping wicket for 50 overs, Hope stepped in as an opener due to an injury to regular opener Jewel Andrews and scored an unbeaten 162 to lead his side to victory.

Sammy highlighted Hope's ability to lead by example, noting that he was on the field for over 98 overs during the match. The coach emphasized that Hope does not receive enough credit for his commitment and class while guiding the West Indies team.
