Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield scored two goals on Saturday in a 6-5 overtime loss against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The performance extended Caufield's league-leading streak of scoring on Saturdays, bringing his total to 35 Saturday goals since the start of the 2024-25 season.
Caufield opened the scoring in the first period and sparked a third-period comeback before Montreal fell in overtime. Out of Caufield's 90 goals scored since the 2024-25 season, 38.9% have occurred on Saturdays, with upcoming Saturday matchups scheduled against Detroit and Buffalo.
