Peyton Prescott earned the win as the Surprise Saguaros defeated the Scottsdale Scorpions 9-3 in their Arizona Fall League opener. Pitching as an opener, Prescott recorded five scoreless outs, conceding two hits and two walks while striking out one batter. Mets prospect Cole Mathis contributed by going 1-for-4 with an RBI and a walk, while infielder Bruin Agbayani scored a run despite committing two errors.
Several other Mets prospects featured in the game, including pitchers Irving Cota, Brendan Girton, and Ryan Lambert, who tossed a scoreless frame.
