Phil Mickelson has been told the door is not closed on the PGA Tour by his biggest critic after it emerged he has spent time in rehab dealing with 'family trauma and addiction'.

Golf analyst Brandel Chamblee suggested on the We Need a Fourth podcast that Phil Mickelson would be welcomed back to the PGA Tour if he apologized for joining LIV Golf. Chamblee, long considered one of Mickelson's fiercest critics, noted that the golf world is forgiving and would embrace the six-time major champion following his recent personal struggles.
The comments follow reports that Mickelson recently completed treatment at an addiction center for family trauma and addiction after stepping away from professional golf earlier this year. His potential return to the PGA Tour also comes amid instability for LIV Golf following the withdrawal of Saudi funding.
