Ipswich Town Women continued their impressive WSL2 campaign with another victory in the league beating Sheffield United at Brammall Lane.
Ipswich Town Women secured a 2-1 away victory against Sheffield United to extend their unbeaten start to the WSL2 campaign. Meg Hornby opened the scoring for the visitors in the 58th minute with a deflected strike from distance. Princess Ademiluyi doubled the advantage in the 70th minute with a long-range effort into the top corner before Sheffield United substitute Connie Scofield pulled one back in the 78th minute.
Manager David Wright named an unchanged starting lineup following their recent victory over Wolves. Ipswich Town absorbed significant pressure in the first half, with Sheffield United striking the crossbar twice. The result leaves Ipswich third in the league table with three wins and two draws from five matches ahead of an upcoming international break.
