‘Lost for words’: Adrian Meronk’s emotional St. Andrews win led to a LIV question

Adrian Meronk secured an emotional victory at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St. Andrews, firing a final-round 68 to finish at 20 under par. The Polish golfer held off Casey Jarvis to earn his first DP World Tour victory since 2023. Meronk, who broke down in scoring after the win, called the triumph at the Home of Golf ten years after his pro debut a dream come true.

The victory dramatically alters Meronk's career trajectory as his LIV Golf contract concludes amid an uncertain future for the breakaway league. By climbing to 38th in the Race to Dubai standings, Meronk positioned himself to secure his DP World Tour membership for 2027. Following a difficult stretch of form, he stated that the win provides security as he re-evaluates his future schedule.
