Brazil has confirmed that Barcelona captain Raphinha will miss their upcoming friendly against India due to a thigh injury. The forward was substituted at half-time during Brazil's victory over Australia after feeling discomfort, which prompted subsequent medical examinations by the national team setup.
The Brazilian Football Confederation stated that imaging revealed a small muscle edema in the posterior area of his right thigh. Raphinha is now expected to return to Barcelona for additional testing and treatment ahead of their La Liga fixture against Getafe on October 10.
