The 30-year-old could form a deadly midfield pairing, at both the Waratahs and potentially the Wallabies, with fellow code-hopping star Suaalii.

Angus Crichton is preparing to reunite with Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii and coach Michael Cheika at the NSW Waratahs as he returns to rugby union. Cheika is set to rejoin the Waratahs for the 2027 Super Rugby Pacific season following two seasons as an assistant with the Sydney Roosters, where he previously coached Crichton.
Crichton is scheduled to officially join the Waratahs on November 7 following foot surgery, effectively ruling him out of the Rugby League World Cup. The 30-year-old, who previously played center in rugby before shifting to league in 2014, could potentially represent Australia A or the Wallabies on their upcoming spring tour.
