The Orlando Magic's biggest weakness was a thin bench that could not sustain injuries last year. The team hopes a stronger bench will net different results.

The Orlando Magic are using training camp to work through lineup combinations and address bench depth ahead of the new season. Following a campaign where the team ranked 26th in bench scoring at 32.6 points per game, head coach Sean Sweeney and his staff are testing different playing groups to establish more reliable second-unit production.
Depth improvements include adding Nikola Vucevic, alongside anticipated contributions from Anthony Black and Noah Penda as they work back from minor injuries. The Magic aim to solidify their rotations ahead of their preseason opener against the Memphis Grizzlies.
