Sale defied Jacques Vermeulen's first-half red card to dispatch Saracens 21-17 with Tom O'Flaherty emerging as the star of a slugfest at StoneX Stadium.

Sale Sharks overcame a first-half 20-minute red card for Jacques Vermeulen to defeat Saracens 21-17 at StoneX Stadium. Tom O'Flaherty starred for Sale, scoring a pivotal solo try early in the second half, alongside tries from Nathan Jibulu and Ben Bamber.
Saracens responded with tries from Eroni Mawi, Sione Va'enuku, and Jack Bracken, but they could not overturn the deficit. The victory allowed Sale to bounce back from their opening-weekend loss to Bristol, while Saracens suffered a difficult defeat compounded by hooker Theo Dan limping off injured.
