The Roosters have been in party mode since 9.30pm last night and it will continue for the next few days after securing the NRL premiership against a gallant Newcastle side on Sunday.
The Sydney Roosters celebrated their NRL premiership victory following a narrow 19-18 Grand Final win over the Newcastle Knights at Accor Stadium. After the triumph, sealed by a Daly Cherry-Evans field goal, the club updated its Instagram biography to "We Told You" as a message to critics. Players, head coach Trent Robinson, and chairman Nick Politis celebrated on the field before taking the festivities to Easts Bondi Junction with thousands of supporters.
Clive Churchill medallist James Tedesco addressed the fans, while Mark Nawaqanitawase and Angus Crichton marked their final NRL appearances before departing for rugby union. Spencer Leniu secured his fourth premiership title, celebrating alongside former Penrith teammates. The festivities continued into Monday morning, with team celebrations scheduled to proceed at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
