The San Jose Sharks have placed forward Patrick Giles on waivers, as reported by Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. The 26-year-old winger had previously been on non-roster injured reserve due to a preseason upper-body injury and must clear waivers before returning to the AHL.
Giles, who signed a two-year extension during the off-season, played three games with an assist for the Sharks last season. If he clears waivers, he is expected to rejoin the San Jose Barracuda, where he previously posted four goals across eight games.
