West Ham’s Mads Hermansen keeps clean sheet as Denmark bounce back from Portugal defeat

West Ham goalkeeper Mads Hermansen recorded a clean sheet as Denmark secured a 1-0 victory over Wales in Cardiff on Sunday night. Rasmus Højlund scored the decisive goal from a 75th-minute penalty after Wales goalkeeper Danny Ward brought down Gustav Isaksen in the box.

The shutout followed Denmark's 4-2 defeat to Portugal on Thursday, where Hermansen conceded four times despite making six saves. Denmark manager Brian Riemer handed Hermansen consecutive starts to finish the international window as Wales managed only five attempts with 0.19 expected goals.
