Former West Ham United forward Anthony Scully scored the decisive goal in Exeter City's 1-0 victory over Rotherham United at St James Park on Saturday. The 27-year-old was placed directly into manager Matt Taylor's starting lineup and converted George Birch's cross early in the second half, just hours after Exeter officially announced his signing.
Scully joined Exeter after spending the summer as a free agent following his departure from Shrewsbury Town. The West Ham academy graduate previously played for Lincoln City, Wigan Athletic, Portsmouth, and Colchester United after leaving the Hammers' development squad in February 2020.
