Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren reaffirmed his commitment to the franchise, declaring he wants to be a Piston for life after formally signing a five-year, $200 million contract. Speaking to the media on Sunday, the 22-year-old addressed previous rumors regarding his drawn-out restricted free agency process and expressed firm belief in the team's direction.
Duren dismissed past reports suggesting he felt disrespected during negotiations or considered taking a one-year qualifying offer to leave in unrestricted free agency. He explained that navigating the business side was a learning experience and noted he could not be upset while negotiating such a significant contract.
