Sergio Andrés Medina and Guillem Balagué discuss new Liverpool FC book at event

Waterstones Liverpool will host an event featuring journalists Sergio Andrés Medina and Guillem Balagué on Thursday, October 8. The pair will discuss Medina's new book, titled Spanish Liverpool - The Untold Story of How Rafa Benitez Conquered Europe and Revolutionised the English Game. The session will be led by David Cottrell, the book's translator and a former editor of Liverpool FC's official matchday programme.

The book explores Rafael Benítez's era at Liverpool FC following his arrival in June 2004, focusing on the Spanish players he recruited, such as Xabi Alonso, Fernando Torres, Luis García, and Pepe Reina. It highlights Benítez's impact on English football and the club's 2005 European Cup victory in Istanbul.
