Manchester United have reportedly been contacted regarding a potential January loan move for Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde. The 22-year-old has fallen down manager Hansi Flick's pecking order and has reportedly been granted permission by the Catalan club to explore a temporary exit. Liverpool, Sunderland, Everton, and Fulham have also been linked as potential destinations through intermediaries.
Balde has managed just one appearance this season, playing 12 minutes in Barcelona's 7-2 win against Racing Santander. Although his contract runs until 2028, Barcelona are reportedly considering other left-back signings in the future, making a low-risk loan deal appealing for Manchester United to evaluate his adaptation to English football.
