The 18-year-old son of Virender Sehwag will lead a 16-member Delhi side when the Vinoo Mankad Trophy begins in Visakhapatnam on October 8.
The Delhi and District Cricket Association has named 18-year-old Aaryavir Sehwag as captain of Delhi's 16-member Under-19 squad for the Vinoo Mankad Trophy One Day Tournament 2026-27. The tournament begins in Visakhapatnam on October 8, with Arnav Bugga serving as vice-captain. Aaryavir, the son of former India opener Virender Sehwag, is taking on his first major captaincy role at the domestic level.
The appointment follows Aaryavir's appearance for India Under-19 in a three-match Youth ODI series against Australia in Rajkot, where he scored 109 runs. His junior career is highlighted by a 297-run knock for Delhi against Meghalaya in the 2024 Cooch Behar Trophy, alongside appearances for the West Delhi Lions in the Delhi Premier League earlier in 2026.
