Rival NBA teams reportedly believe the Dallas Mavericks could consider trading forward P.J. Washington following an offseason roster overhaul, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line. The Mavericks recently added forwards Zaccharie Risacher, Morez Johnson Jr., and Tarik Biberovic, which could make Washington expendable ahead of the February trade deadline.
Washington, 28, is entering the first year of a four-year, $88 million contract extension. Despite rival speculation, Washington stated in a recent interview that team president Masai Ujiri assured him that he would not be traded without advance notice.
