Philadelphia 76ers forward LeBron James is reportedly dealing with chronic arthritis in his left foot and sciatica in his lower back ahead of his 24th NBA season. According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, the 41-year-old begins extensive daily treatment around 7:45 a.m. with longtime athletic trainer Mike Mancias. While the conditions have not ruled him out, they add significant workload concerns for Philadelphia.
Head coach Nick Nurse stated that James' workload will be carefully managed alongside Joel Embiid, particularly during back-to-back games. Despite the chronic issues, James participated in the team's open scrimmage on October 3, and there is currently no indication that he will miss the start of the regular season.
