Republik Of Mancunia profiled veteran Manchester United supporter Peter Bolton, who has watched the team live more than 5,000 times across 44 countries. The 70-year-old has not missed a competitive first-team match at Old Trafford since December 1974. Following a recent hospital stay, Bolton is currently managing his recovery while assessing upcoming trips to fixtures in Madrid and Como.
Bolton reflected on five decades of following the club, including traveling with his famous 'ONE LOVE' flag and his long-time friendship with late supporter John Butterfield. While expressing deep affection for the team and fellow supporters, Bolton criticized the modern club hierarchy, arguing that decision-makers prioritize commercialization and monetizing supporters over understanding the essence of football fans.
