The Seahawks are signing running back Joe Mixon after he worked out for the team Monday, a source told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

The Seattle Seahawks are signing veteran running back Joe Mixon following a Monday workout, according to a report from NFL Network. Mixon joins the Seahawks as a free agent after being released by the Houston Texans in March. The signing follows Seattle placing rookie first-round running back Jadarian Price on injured reserve due to a chest injury.
Mixon, 30, missed the entire 2025 season with a foot injury after rushing for 1,016 yards and 11 touchdowns for Houston in 2024. The two-time Pro Bowler spent his first seven NFL seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals and enters a depth chart that currently features Emanuel Wilson, George Holani, and Velus Jones Jr.
